The advantages of titanium and its alloys as dental materials is can meet medical-grade standards in various degrees. The clinically applied dental materials mainly include precious metal alloys, Co-Cr ally, Ni-Cr alloy, stainless steel, titanium and its alloy, Among these dental materials, only titanium and its alloys can adapt to the extremely harsh application conditions as dental materials in the most extent. For example, the hardness and deformation of pure titanium are closer to human natural teeth, which make a good chewing feeling. The corrosion resistance of titanium and its alloys is higher than that of cobalt-based alloys and stainless steel.All these indicate that titanium and its alloys as dental materials have incomparable advantages over other dental materials.
